Agriculture Ministry to establish 100 acres of fruit trees at Ebony Park to Boost Food Security and Exports

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, will be assisting the Ebony Park HEART/NSTA Trust with establishing 100 acres of fruit trees in line with the Ministry's New FACE of Food initiative.

The announcement was made by the Ministry’s State Minister, the Hon. Franklin Witter, at the World Food Day National Ceremony and Exposition held at the Ebony Park HEART/NSTA Trust, in Clarendon on Wednesday, October 16.

Witter, the keynote speaker at the event, said the Ministry intends to plant “50 acres of Ackee and 50 acres of Mangoes,” which will support the Ministry...
