Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green, says the success of the 20th Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA) will be determined by the action that follows the regional discussions.

Swift CCRIF Payout Aiding Hurricane Recovery

Jamaica received US$91.9 million from the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) within 14 days following Hurricane Melissa, providing the Government with critical funds to begin recovery efforts while reducing pressure on the national Budget.

The Agricultural Protection Branch (APB) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has made significant progress in addressing the issue of praedial larceny affecting farmers across the island.

Gov't Ensuring Adequate Food Supply for Christmas

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, is assuring Jamaica that measures are being undertaken to ensure adequate food supplies for Christmas at moderate prices.
