Second Time’s the Charm for Lacovia High’s Natoya Williams

KINGSTON, May 30 (JIS):

Tears of joy concluded a three-year journey to victory for Natoya Williams, a grade 10 student at the St. Elizabeth-based, Lacovia High School.

Natoya walked away with the coveted $1 million prize along with the title of 4-H National Female Youth Ambassador (4-H National Girl of The Year), at the Jamaica 4-H Clubs National Achievement Expo held recently at the Denbigh Showground in Clarendon.

Special emphasis will be placed on the Farm Road Programme this year, says Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green.

Addressing stakeholders and patrons at the 27th staging of the Kingston and St. Andrew Agricultural Show (Agrofest), on Saturday (May 27) at the Ministry’s playfield, in Kingston, Mr. Green said during consultations with the farmers, concerns were expressed about the state of the roads in several areas of Kingston and St. Andrew.
