Farmers and fishers are being urged to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and properties from the impact of Tropical Depression that is expected to pass north of Jamaica on Tuesday, August 17.
According to an advisory from the Meteorological Service of Jamaica, widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect the island that could generate flashfloods starting tonight. Additionally, strong gusty winds will be experienced primarily over northern parishes.
