Public gardens resume operations

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries is advising that public gardens under its control are now open with effect from June 17. These are Castleton Botanical Gardens in St Mary, Cinchona Botanical Gardens in St Andrew, Bath Botanical in St Thomas, and Hope Botanical Gardens as well as Hope Zoo in Kingston. Minister Shaw lauds Jamaica’s export sector performance

Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon Audley Shaw, is calling Jamaica’s performance of the export sector since the outbreak of COVID-19 outstanding, noting that the total value of manufacturing exports by Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters’ Association (JMEA) members for the period January-May 2020 was $12.6 billion, representing a J$74 million increase over the same period in 2019.
