Acting Principal Director in the Economic Planning and Policy Division of the Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries Ministry, Michelle Parkins (right) engages in conversation with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) Representative to Jamaica, Dr. Elizabeth Johnson, at a workshop to promote tourism linkages with the Jamaican agri-food sector, at the Alhambra Inn in St. Andrew on May 16. The workshop was aimed at examining the linkages between agriculture and tourism.

Floyd Green ( left), converses with Chairperson, Trade Facilitation Task Force, Patricia Francis, at the launch of the Jamaica Trade Information Portal (JTIP), at the Terra Nova Hotel on Thursday, May 16, 2019. The JTIP is being developed through support from the World Bank. The launch signals Jamaica’s improved readiness for trade and will ensure that the requisite information is easily accessible by all, which will make it easier and more efficient to conduct the business of trade.
