Minister of Industry Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon Audley Shaw (right) cuts the ribbon to hand over drip irrigation systems for 150 acres of land to farmers of the Bull Savannah and Southfield Farmers Benevolent Societies (FBS) at the Bethel Bible Camp, Malvern, St Elizabeth on Thursday, May 9. A total of 300 small farmers will befit from the project managed by the Jamaica Social Investment Fund, with grant funding from the Caribbean Development Bank. Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, the Hon. Audley Shaw has issued a call for drip irrigation systems to be used by more farmers islandwide.
The Minister issued the call in Southfield, St Elizabeth, Thursday, May 9 at the handover of drip irrigation systems for 150 acres of land to 300 farmers of the Bull Savannah and Southfield Farmers Benevolent Societies.
