NFA to Establish Offshore Radio Communication System

The National Fisheries Authority (NFA) will complete the establishment of an offshore radio communication system for fishers and other navigators in Jamaica’s waters, later this year.

Pig Farmers Urged to Protect Industry from Diseases

Pig farmers are being urged to collaborate with stakeholders to save the industry from current diseases, by Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon. Pearnel Charles Jr.

The Minister, who was addressing the recent annual general meeting of the Jamaica Pig Farmers’ Association (JPFA) at the Bridge Palm Hotel and Resorts in Osbourne Store, Clarendon, said it is “essential” for conversations to be held about those diseases that have impacted several countries in the region.
