The Service Excellence Award is presented to the organization that has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the comprehensive implementation of the GoJ Service Excellence Programme. This prestigious award recognizes the organization that has excelled in fulfilling the essential requirements for delivering exceptional service to the public. To achieve this recognition, entities are evaluated on a 13-point assessment rubric, focusing on the presence and effectiveness of various criteria. These criteria include the establishment of a dedicated Customer Service Unit or Division, conducting reward and recognition activities, implementing customer feedback and complaints management systems, involving customers in service design, facilitating staff sensitization sessions, developing public education strategies, and executing campaigns, active engagement with vulnerable and hard-to-reach groups, and participation in Service Excellence Month activities, among other factors. The winning entity demonstrates an outstanding dedication to improving public service delivery, enhancing customer experiences, and fostering a culture of service excellence.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining was selected for this prestigious award at the inaugural Service Excellence Awards hosted by the Office of the Cabinet on October 25, 2023. The Ministry extends congratulations to all staff for the hard work and commitment shown to service excellence.
